Motion Trio. Pictures from the Street.

It seems to me that none who has at least once heard performance by Motion Trio – and the more so none who has seen it – will ever forget, mix it up with anybody. And the thing is not only original composition – although you will hardly find among performers of jazz, art rock, folk fusion another trio what would consist exceptionally of accordions. Maybe, not that important is even the ability of these people to obtain with their instruments sounds more characteristic of guitars, the rhythm and spirit sections – although this also impresses, sure. (It is enough to say that at their performances they are able to imitate even DJ music. However, it is revealed to its full already in later works). But the main thing, in my opinion, is that it is a real kaleidoscope of sincere emotions, impressions – and delicate technical mastery only adds sharpness, brightness to it. It is not occasionally that this album is called "Pictures from the Street" – in streets of a city, an attentive observer will never feel bored, virtually always there happen some live films, you only need to watch. If I am not mistaken, the album did become one of results of experience obtained during active performing under open skies. By the way, after its first release it was acknowledged as the best jazz album of the year in Poland. And one more note. Considering the specifics of our shop, this disc should not have appeared here – it would seem so. But. In this case, we deal not just with a licensed copy of the original. This is the second edition made in Ukraine and especially for Ukrainians. That is why, actually, there are some differences: the play "Asfalt Tango" is removed – two others are added instead, namely "Libertyn" and "You Dance". That is why, I think, the disc should interest not only Ukrainian music fans. This is an original gift to all admirers of Motion Trio, of whom there are already quite a bit in the world, and more and more of them appear.
