The project, actually, appeared as far back as a few years ago – but it is lately that the concept has completed its final transformations, reincarnations, and now it is already somewhat new music. On February, 21, 2008, the folklore expedition of the project Dazzle Dreams Sound System left for Nepal. The primary objective of the project is searching and recording of countries' ethnic music – music samples, accumulation of an original record library and its integration into their own music. During one week, the guys accumulated a great number of original samples, and they became part of new tracks by Dazzle Dreams.

First I listened to the Ojra’s records somewhere at the end of 90-ties, yet then it was the attempt to join the archaic and the up-to-date. The staff of the group changed several times since then, and they didn’t give up to search. In its foundation, the idea was simpler and defined as "ethno-cabaret" – that is, folk songs decorated with a music mix from any sorts of styles. Conditionally speaking, from northern dub to oriental blues. And as a result they conducted skilful retro-styling for NEP times (the New Economic Policy), that is for around the 1920s. And what appeared then – was a bomb.

The new variant, I think, is to unite those who liked "Guliaygorod" at once – and those to whom it then seemed a bit too hard. It amazes at times how finely the Ukrainian folk songs are blended in with the jazz ideas by ShockolaD. ShockolaD may have limited itself to some hints at the source turning these songs into a riff with their complete mastery of performing. But the group changes the type of tune very neatly, and, at some extent, they rather add to it than change.

Rhythms of "Osjayni" bewitch with their soft, silent pace. Marta, in her turn, also obviously appears here not by chance. Her voice has a very interesting feature – it somehow inexplicably combines in itself the past and the future. It seems to be native – and somehow not from here.
