Generally speaking, this is a Russian group, but as far as we can see Ukrainian folk songs spark a keen interest in them. Since at home “Balahan” (“Show-booth”) performs folk songs arranged into modern rhythms, this time they wouldn’t change their line. Some of the songs presented at this disc, I must admit, are difficult to be recognised – though actually all of them are very famous. Personally I find it to be good – it makes you listen to them more attentively. Still, to be on the safe side, don’t forget that this album is entirely entertaining and dancing. That’s where its main sense lies. By the way, the visiting card of the group – the song “What d’you wanna?” – is presented here in the Ukrainian translation. I think, those who have heard the original version of this song will be interested in comparing it with a new version. Or they may simply listen and dance. Or do something else.

For the first and the latest time Verka Serdyuchka released a collection of the best songs rather long ago - about five years have passed since then. During this period of time, both the repertoire and the very image of Serdyuchka have acquired new features, turning what used to be a funny joke into real grotesque - that far not everybody considers funny. And this even seems a little bit weird...

All this madness around Serdyuchka began as far back as about 10 years ago, if not more – and, strange enough, it has not only never calmed down, but it has intensified. This is, sure, one of the most successful play actors on the whole of our variety scene – laughing at what and who she wants, where she wants, as she wants. They forgive anything to Serdyuchka...

Чудово! Може, музика не на кожен день, і не до кожного смаку, але мене вона просто заряджає позитивною енергією. Це не той альбом, який треба слухати серйозно і вдумливо. Це той альбом, під який хочеться танцювати і веселитися. Я люблю українські народні пісні в сучасному аранжуванні. Люблю як "серйозні" сучасні обробки, так і попсу на кшталт цього альбому, якщо вона зроблена якісно! Вважаю, цей проект Балагану якісним . І, як і в випадку з альбомом Малініна, майже без акценту!!! Це не кожному росіянину вдається :)

В России они позорят старые песни, теперь и до нашего наследия добрались, сделав из прекрасных душевных песен, попсовые ремейки.

Я люблю голос співачки і думав вони добре перекладали Українські народні пісні до сучасних диско-музик. Моя найулюблена пісні була "Цвіте Терен".

Z ljubovju do Ukrajiny: ze pravda! Eine Auswahl herrlicher, ukrainischer, traditioneller Lieder modern wiedergegeben in ukrainischer Sprache. Hervoragend geeignet zu einer ukrainischen Feier fьr Jung und Alt. Einige Lieder koennte man auch ohne Probleme in der Disko abspielen.
